Kate, my friend who is in Japan for a year participating in the JET (Japan Exchange and Teaching Programme) was kind enough to purchase and send me my train tickets to Kyoto. I arrive in Tokyo Thursday afternoon (november 22nd) and head out on the next morning on the Shinkansen aka the Japanese bullet train. I’m very happy she translated the information on the ticket or I think I would be hurting.
Now i just need to find a place to stay my first night in Tokyo. Any suggestions?
She also sent me some dried squid candy. I can only say i’m in for a real treat…
