Kathrine, Kate’s friend from the JET program, really wanted to see the supposed monkey mountain – where if you stare at them in the eye you may rouse them into wanting to fight you. We decided to visit it along with this small bamboo forrest in a section of town called Arashiyama. Enjoy!

This was my hostel in Kyoto named Cheapest Inn Kyoto. It wasn’t too bad. Warm, comfortable and quiet. Our dorm was on the third floor and the shower on the first.
