Seeing these pictures in black and white takes me - Back in 1900 and sixty-seven/sixty-eight my friend and I would walk downtown every Saturday (Schuler’s was in a different location, the block where the city building is now) just to buy the donuts, and then go to Peter’s record shop to purchase 45 rpm records. They are the best and haven’t changed through the years. The son is now running the bakery. I commend him because he has maintained the quality. People who move away always come back for the donuts and Mikesell’s potato chips.

Hey, they were #1 now, they’re in the running, not sure if they’re still the best in the America, haven’t traveled the globe for them but lately they’ve changed the recipe, the customer service stinks, the new management has really focused on looks and profit but taken the goodness out of the donuts. They’re sure not like they used to be… Love the pics though.
