I was at a little concert this week and was watching a girl shoot and shoot and shoot and clearly she didn’t have very much of a clue as to what to do. Lots of flash and checking the back of the camera after each shot. I snickered but then I thought, “B, you were probably the same way sans digital screen on back and without a clue as to what to do” I just copied what I thought other photographers were doing. So to humble myself here are a few selections from about 8 – 9 years ago when I was blindly stumbling through rolls of ISO 800 film.

Prince at Nationwide Arena – They gave us 30 seconds to shoot. Not the first 3 songs, not one full song, 30 SECONDS!

These are great. Most interesting thing to me is that you’d probably keep most of the compositions the same now, besides straightening the horizon in the shot after greenhouse. You clearly have a natural eye for thirds, empty space. Plus you saw and met some crazy shit!
Haha, that’s some good old memories and I had no idea you got around like that photographing celebrities. That’s amazing. Thanks for sharing and keep shooting.

You know Prince is my man, JB–remember when I begged you for that “I Hate U” EP from back in ’95? You probably hated me as much as I nagged you to give it to me, lol
WHAT?!?! wow… you have been holding out on me bigtime. Can I get a story to go with all of these shots?
