I was at a little concert this week and was watching a girl shoot and shoot and shoot and clearly she didn’t have very much of a clue as to what to do. Lots of flash and checking the back of the camera after each shot. I snickered but then I thought, “B, you were probably the same way sans digital screen on back and without a clue as to what to do” I just copied what I thought other photographers were doing. So to humble myself here are a few selections from about 8 – 9 years ago when I was blindly stumbling through rolls of ISO 800 film.

Prince at Nationwide Arena – They gave us 30 seconds to shoot. Not the first 3 songs, not one full song, 30 SECONDS!

I haven’t been out shooting in a while and my online updates are getting far too infrequent. I posted these on seen and flickr back in 2006 but I think they are good enough to show again.


My friend Miguel Perez puts on and host a breast cancer awareness fundraiser at COSI in Columbus annually. I told him i would shoot the even long before my little knee injury. Although i couldn’t be my normal rip and run self i still pulled out a few decent shots.

Ologie said goodbye to Antonio aka the only black guy i’ve ever worked with at a design agency (including freelancers) I’m pretty sure it is because in most contracts you are only allowed one at a time. Him and his girl are off to new adventures in Chicago.
