Portrait of a Lady
from my big picture blog
Marcia, as seen through my eyes. I believe it will become my definitive portrait of her in Paris.
I had a thought; This may actually be a self portait, using marcia as the sand-in for myself. I'm not one to put deeper meaning to my pictures but this one says so much more than what it shows.

It's been a while since we've sat and chilled over a couple glasses of wine. Last night we did just that.
hanging out with white people
Queens of the tiny house party, Stacey and Kelly Gold, threw a party in honor of the blog that recently blew up: stuff white people like.
Stacey next to the wall of people white people like, which included Dave Chapelle, Oprah, Burt Reynolds, David Hasselhoff, Britney Spears, Elton John and others.

New Years Photobooth fun
The TV set hasn't gone anywhere yet and we had a few folks over for new years so of course that means some photobooth fun.
This may be the best photo of these two kids i've ever seen.
And more photos with the tv set.
This should be it for a while.
large view
I made a mistake and chose a higher ISO. I figured I would be shooting multiple people and i wanted to make sure my focus was on point. These latest shots were at ISO 640 and i think f/9.0. I don't particularly like my depth of field or the grain on the tv set. click on the image and you'll see it full size

It's The Gloves
A couple photos from last night. I think a few turned out cool. I desperately needed a 3rd and 4th strobe. One directly in front and above and one to hit her hair. I'm sure she'll be down to do it again sometime. right mh? p.s. my next photobooth will be with this set up.
Some photos from last night
Nagano to Brooklyn
This is Miho. She comes from Nagano, Japan and is staying in Brooklyn for a few days with her father and brother. She happened to find me on flickr a couple of weeks ago by searching for bed-stuy / fort greene. I assume i looked non-threatening enough to say hey and asked if we could grab coffee or tea when she visited. So we met up this afternoon and i gave her a little tour around my ‘hood.
She was cool people and a fan of mos def. Hopefully i’ll meet up with her again in Japan this fall.
