I sent a few boxes of old 4x6 prints from my early days as a baby pup photographer off to get scanned a couple weeks ago. I've been going through and trying to organize them a bit and came across a few images like these here of Erykah Badu. I wish i could remember what year it was (whenever her second album dropped). A friend of mine had some sort of 1 degree connection and got me a impromptu photoshoot with her backstage after a show in Cincinnati.
