Josh, a writer for Fab who came to Berlin this year, hosted a Club Moth inspired story telling night called Club Mate.
Miho made a quick stop in Brooklyn via Japan last month. Last I heard her family was ok (she lives in Tokyo and her family is a little south of there).

So what happens now?
Select 12 images, scan them and do some touching up. Print them at my desired size...HUGE. Once I find the money for the prints (sponsors anyone?) i'll find a space/gallery to rent or borrow for a one night show in may, june, or july. Then I'll invite all of you and many others (cye, oux, les no excuses) come, look and go home drunk and happy.

Aileen Aquino. Blazey and I dragged aileen from Cincinnati to come hang with a bunch of NYC kids in Woodstock this weekend.
Miho was one of the first portraits i posted on this blog. For some reason i get about 100 spam comments a day on that post, it's hard to battle. She is in the states for a friend's wedding in LA. She says they married (and already had a baby) because of me. Ha! not so sure that is the case, but it is cool anyway. He met his wife the night she gathered a bunch of friends and all went out for karaoke for my visit.

I visited long time friend Silvia this weekend in Chicago. She and I met while in design school at Ohio State.
She was wrapping a gift when I arrived. I thought It was a flash light till further inspection.
While blazey and i were setting up the roof Lara (upstairs neighbor) came out and told us remember to stay away from the part of the roof that was above their bedroom since it has been slowly caving in over the past few months. (umm, whoa i didn't know about that) For a little kicker there were way more folks coming than both me and blazey expected. I was still adimate about keeping it up there but poppa blazey made an executive desision to take it down to the stoop - i would have been terribly wrong. The stoop bbq was perfect.
Thank you to all the folks who came out, both the regulars and the new kids. Come back for an end of the summer bbq in a few months!

Columbus makes it so much easier to head to Target and get this 6 month old instant camera developed. Mari, Tyler, Megan and I headed up to Hunter mountain in Jan or Feb for my only snowboard trip of the season.
(ps i'm stuck in the airport with not much to do so i started looking at old treo camera phone photos)
Meg Wachter came around about two years or three years ago. Blazey's sister and her used to got to school together back in Akron. We first met at the Brooklyn Brewery spot in willy b. I won't call her hipster but she is as hip as you can get. Awesome photographer. Dope retoucher. Amazing Housewife (yes she is married*)

Our girl Ashley from around-the-way and an alumn of OSU needed a brochure for a dance convention she is putting together. I wanted to cut out the letters and use wire and foam to arrange and shoot it.
When i look at it again it feels a little like BAM or Wexner Center or Walker Art Center. It may be the gradients and the use of single typeface with multiple weights
