Woodstock '08

You may remember the tons of photos that the 12 of us put up around this time last year from our trip to Woodstock. Well after sitting on this footage for a while, letting it age properly, Blazey and I sat down and decided it was time to get this little clip together for all of us to reminisce over.

Better viewed LARGE  in HD over on vimeo

Edited by Blazey song: Winter Fade by Animal Collective

I probably need releases

flickr1flickr1

You never know when you'll need a hi-res file.

Also, this is what i like about Lightroom: I can do all my editing and even photoshop editing via the program and always have the full size .dng file. A lot of the above photos are things i edited pre-lightroom. They were don quickly using lo-res files just to get them up on flickr. shame on me.

Long Exposure

This may be the final video of me in my twenties.

(Apologies if it doesn't play smoothly – experimenting with a higher quality video file. I'll upload it to vimeo eventually) oux and cye: yes, i'm using the new 5DMII for this.

Janelle Monae's EP fits perfectly

I bought two pre-autographed copies of her record last week. The last red record I had (or ebony had) was Salt N Peppa's 'Push It' single. Although it was more burgundy than red if i remember correctly. The record player is a little thing i found on ebay this past Friday.

oh, while i'm here, i guess i could use this forum to complain about her official Many Moons video not being posted online in higher quality i.e. HD resolution. I'm extremely upset at that. She has done such a great job with her visuals and to present her first video in some janky youtube/onsmash set up is all the way wrong. I can't see any reason why it wouldn't or can't be done. Please, someone close to the wondaland camp mention this to her or set me straight and tell me why that is an impossible thing to do. Thanks

Lazy Sunday

Best if viewed in HD on Vimeo.

I think meg's birthday at the park broke the record for Most Documented Picnic. We had a film rangefinder camera, an instant camera, Poloriods, point and shoot digital cameras, DLSRs and HD video. It was kinda ridiculous

Thanks blazeylovevideos.com for the music choice.

On A Drug Run

I made an appointment with my new doctor but come to find out i made it for the wrong day at the wrong office. They saw that i was in pain and said i could see the doctor there – a cardiologists. The nurse gave me an EKG for no reason at all. Just cause "the doctor will yell at me asking why i didn't do it if i don't". Whatever. no harm done. The x-rays came back mentioning slight (very slight) scoliosis but not much else. So he gave me a Percocet and some other muscle relaxer prescription. If i'm still hurting by Tuesday come back and he'll send me to a chiropractor. Too bad i'll be in ohio next week. At least I get one of those fresh Target bottles.

Blazey's video of Argentina

The video i wish i would have made for Japan. It is a little melancholy. I see sonya and her sister and I think that they didn't make it back. Blazey will be in charge of the video for Australia for sure. p.s. anybody who is skilled at html/css can you please tell me why vimeo video's break my layout? it shifts all of the post below it to the left. what the eff?

Music in my ears

Here are a few tracks that i'm feeling right now: American Boy - Estelle. I could be your American Boy.

[audio:http://wordbk.com/audio/american_boy.mp3]

Don't Stop The Music - Rihanna. I'm probably about 6 months late on this CD but who cares. This song is the joint. the build up to her singing my favorite lyrics/breakdown of all time is dope - "mama say mama sa mama ma cu sa"

[audio:Dont_Stop_The_Music.mp3]

Dagger - Emily Jane White. kinda folk. kinda Cat Power-ish

[audio:Dagger.mp3]

Bird Flu - M.I.A. It sounds like the album cover looks [audio:Bird_Flu.mp3]
